Stories and Characters

I don’t have my stories available for print yet, as I cross my fingers and hope someday my prince. . . err, I mean publisher. . . will come. But I do have them available online if you have a deviantArt account. Here’s my page.
I do want to have sample chapters available for perusal elsewhere and will furnish links soon. For now, this is a teaser and a little information into my weird, wacky subconscious.

Novels in Progress:

Les Romances Garou

Good Charlotte Walker - A visit from a strange, ethereal man into her parents’ tavern draws Charlotte Walker into a whirlwind romance with a werewolf named Corbyn Marchand and opens a world of magic and intrigue to the would-be wolfen girl.

Novels Planned:

Arg! They need titles! I promise I’ll update this as soon as I figure out what the hell to call them.

Other Stories:

A Moonlight Confession – The possible framework of a future novel, but for now it’s a short story hypothetical look into young René Marchand and his own romantic entanglement with a human girl.

Cast of Characters:

This is the troupe that often makes an appearance within Les Romances Garou.

The Marchand Family:

Pierre et Marie Marchand – The original family patriarch, Pierre-Louis de Marchand was a nobleman within Parisian society just decades before the French Revolution. When the earliest stirrings of unrest within France commenced, he and his wife, Marie, joined her sister Annette Blanchard in search of a long-lost sect of the Blanchard family. What they discovered was an entire wolfen world hidden from the prying eyes of humanity.
Pierre, Marie, and Annette became prominent werewolves within their new family, with Pierre’s wealth and societal links becoming a crucial connecting point between the wolfen realm and the human world. Within a century, Pierre became the highest elder within their governing body. Thus begun the framework of a monarchy.

Philippe et Marguerite Marchand – The only son of Pierre and Marie, Philippe followed in his father’s footsteps and assumed the position of high elder when his father stepped down. Philippe was the first to marry for political reasons, however, and lacked the special clairvoyant sixth sense of the Blanchard family. As such, his rule was often called to question by the Blanchards, who saw his political posturing as detrimental to wolfen society. Especially when he attempted to force his only son, Corbyn, to marry a member of the hated Couture family.

Corbyn et Charlotte Marchand - The turning point within the wolfen world came when Corbyn started to exhibit the special gifts of the Blanchard family. As his father was kept in power with the hopes of Corbyn rising in his stead, Corbyn sought out his wife from amongst humanity, connecting the wolfen world with the human realm once again.
Charlotte was the daughter of two tavern owners in Lancaster, PA when she met Corbyn. An art student and feisty femme, Charlotte brings new blood to wolfen kind and a new hope to the Blanchards of what fate might bring their way through the converted human.

René Marchand – The oldest son of Corbyn and Charlotte, René is cut from the same mixed cloth of Marchand and Blanchard. He has indicated, though, he is not the only child of the Marchand duo and not the only son, either.
While living on the outside as a music student, René met Phoebe Taylor. The full status of their relationship has yet to be determined.

The Blanchard Family

Annette Blanchard – The sister of Marie Marchand and the great-aunt of Corbyn, Annette helped raise and guide the Marchand heir and continues to be an influence to them.

Michel Blanchard - The only child of Annette. Michel has hinted at a seedy past, perhaps with a bit of trouble following him in his wake.

Henri Blanchard – The head elder of the Blanchard village and representative of their family within the wolfen council.

The Couture Family

Generally-speaking, the Coutures have been the constant enemy of the Blanchard family, warring with them until the time of Pierre Marchand’s ascent to power and maintaining a tense peace with the Blanchards until the “Bridget Couture” incident. When the Marchands, Blanchards, and others relocated from France to the United States, the schism forged a new rivalry between the families.

The Marchands are yet revered as the ruling wolfen family and the Coutures have sought the power of the de facto wolfen throne. The Blanchards still loathe the Coutures to this day and the Coutures share the sentiment, not trusting the Blanchard sixth sense and their attachment to humanity.
